Yixiong Zhang holds an MFA from the Repin Academy of Fine Arts and is currently based in Beijing. His practice seeks a literary quality in painting, moving beyond decorative imagery to evoke the experience of reading poetry or short fiction. Through immersive compositions, his works unfold gradually, inviting viewers to follow subtle narrative threads and connect with personal memories and moments of recognition.
