Yuange Sheng (b. 1999) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the shifting relationship between structure, material and life. Trained in Architecture at Central Saint Martins, he begins with grids, modular systems and architectural fragments, transforming them through sculpture and image-making into unstable forms that collapse, deform and reorganise. Rather than treating structure as fixed, Sheng approaches it as an ongoing process of becoming, allowing materials to act as agents with their own logic, resistance and capacity for change.
 

His work also engages with memory, accumulation and material residue. Spatial fragments, layered surfaces and traces of transformation are assembled into forms that resemble fossils, ruins or the remains of unknown systems. Moving between the organic and the artificial, the constructed and the eroded, his works suggest histories without fully revealing them. Through these open and indeterminate conditions, Sheng invites viewers to reconsider how environments are constructed, inhabited and continuously transformed.
