Description:

The image shows a Hong Kong protester in green, an ancient Eqyptian god, and a European cyclist. Triangulating between these confusingly different individuals and their lifestyles provides fragmented images that each individual has to integrate into something meaningful in order to remember. Electronic communication devices prompt shorter attention times so that memorisation can only rely on flashes of ephemeral experience. The intermixing of iconic images transforms them into bland hybrids and watered down versions, leaching out their uniqueness and flattening meaning into a lowest common denominator.
