Exhibition Introduction

In an era shaped by speed, efficiency, and fixed narratives, We Meet in the Intervals turns attention to what exists in between. The exhibition brings together ten international artists working across photography, video, painting, and digital media to explore the interval as a site of reflection, transformation, and potential.

Structured around three interconnected themes—architecture and time, body and memory, energy and materiality—the exhibition examines transitional spaces and states that often go unnoticed: moments of waiting, movement, and suspension within everyday life. These intervals are reimagined not as empty or passive, but as active zones where perception shifts and meaning begins to form.

The works move between observations of contemporary built environments, intimate reflections on memory, identity, and care, and speculative explorations of energy and embodied experience. Together, they trace a journey from external structures to internal landscapes, and from material presence to immaterial systems.

We Meet in the Intervals proposes the in-between as a fertile ground—where fixed categories loosen, identities remain fluid, and new forms of connection quietly emerge.
